Striking Ford 3-window 350 Chevy V8 Automatic PB A/C Custom Leather
Mixing all the best traits of modern street rodding with excellent planning and great assembly, this brilliant Ford is a standout anywhere it rolls! Of course, to pull off a cool build like this, everything you do HAS to be top notch. And, from this coupe's striking chop to its proven small block powertrain and plush custom interior, there's simply nowhere subpar workmanship can hide. Looking for a quintessential classic that's road ready, show-ready and just plain ready to rock and roll? Roll up the metal curtain and crank up this fantastic Ford!
ALL STYLE
Built to be a top tier salute to timeless Ford metal, this razor sharp 3-window is constructed on a solid foundation of lightweight fiberglass. Precision resin results in a durable and authentic custom that mixes stylish lines with functional parts and great structural integrity. Clean panels display smooth vertical planes and a straight profile that looks good both on the road and at the show. Since a profile that nice deserves to be seen and celebrated, it wears glowing Dodge Chili Pepper Red PearlCoat that was perfected by the pros at Iron Station, North Carolina's Reflections Paint & Body Works. And all that style looks great under custom pinstriping and a glossy layer of clear.
The show starts with flowing fiberglass fenders, which prop dual-mode headlights at the sides of a stainless grille and a fiberglass grille shell. A three-piece Rootlieb hood runs sporty louvers toward a chopped greenhouse that's finished with a flush-fit Center High Mount Stop Lamp. That glass gets reflected in color-keyed mirrors, which ride trick Coach Doors over fiberglass running boards. And out back, a shaved decklid shades more fiberglass fenders and custom, flush-mount taillights.
PROVEN PERFORMANCE
Fold the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of reliable Chevrolet small block that, thanks to the pros at Mount Holly, North Carolina's A&A Automotive, provides instant access to roughly 325 horsepower! At the top of that smooth-cruising mill, a finned and polished air cleaner floats reusable Spectre fiber on a coated Edelbrock carburetor, which is sequenced to stainless lines, an electric choke, a polished Edelbrock filter and a liquid-filled So-Cal pressure gauge. A familiar Edelbrock Performer intake feeds iron heads, which sail finned and polished valve covers between a polished Edelbrock breather and a COMP hydraulic cam. An aftermarket distributor flies fire between loomed Accel wires and a PerTronix Flame-Thrower II coil. Exhaust drops through compact Sanderson headers. Pliable V-belts spin a chromed alternator next to a chromed AC compressor. And, speaking of water, cooling is provided by a quality Walker radiator that's outfitted with a snazzy “V8” cap and a quick-spinning puller fan.
READY TO ROLL
Pull this impressive classic on a lift and you'll find a boxed and braced '33 Ford chassis that weaves meticulous improvements into stalwart factory bones. The iron small block kicks a requisite 700R4 4-speed, which was whipped to form by Cook's Racing of Cowpens, South Carolina. That gearbox spins a trusty 10-bolt axle that's built with a posi-traction differential and fun, 3.73 gears. Traditional leaf springs and polished Pro Shocks roll opposite a Fat Man Fabrications Mustang II-style front-clip that's finished with a small sway bar and modern coil-over-shocks. Turns come courtesy of a manual rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are provided by power-assisted discs and drums. Aluminized exhaust stretches an H-shaped crossover in front of throaty turbo mufflers and polished, side-exit tips. And at the corners of the car, polished Billet Specialties blades spin 195/65R15 Generals in front of 225/60R18 Generals.
READY TO CRUISE
Between the doors, custom leather upholstery takes clean and stylish form. A broad bench seat is dressed in simple lap belts. That throne rides fade-free carpet, which frames a polished e-brake, trick foot pedals and a custom console that's formed around a tall shifter. A pinstriped dash centers clean Classic Instruments telemetry between hidden ignition, modern climate control and fresh American Autowire wiring. Custom side panels add nice texture in front of power operated windows. The driver spins a banjo-style steering wheel around a modern, tilting column. The car's power operated decklid reveals ample room for trophies and car show supplies. And a hidden Kenwood CD player jolts hidden Rockford Fosgate speakers to keep the tunes bumping.
It's impossible to guess how many hours it took to construct this awesome Ford. But, given the lengthy list of equipment that went in to its build, our asking price probably wouldn't even cover the components, let alone labor. At first glance, the car appears to be a basic and simple piece, but an acute attention to detail and great quality earn your appreciation almost instantly. All that said, one thing is certain: timeless and fun, there's simply no hiding how cool this coupe is when it's centerstage!
